Information we process

When you sign in with Google, Kéktúrám receives your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile picture. Google does not share your password with Kéktúrám.

The service stores the trail information you add, including completed sections, dates, walking times, ratings and notes. If you upload photos, it also stores those photos and their captions.

Uploaded photos are resized and converted to WebP. Embedded metadata, including EXIF and GPS data, is removed during that conversion. Photos and trail records are available only to the account that created them.

Kéktúrám uses essential cookies for the Google sign-in process and to keep you signed in. It does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Why we use it

Account information and the content you add are used to provide your personal trail log. Limited technical information is used to authenticate requests, protect private content, enforce usage limits and keep the service reliable.

This processing is necessary to provide the service you choose to use and for the legitimate interest of operating and securing it. Kéktúrám does not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

Service providers

• Google provides authentication.
• Railway hosts the application and its stored data.
• OpenTopoMap provides map tiles. Your browser requests these tiles directly, so OpenTopoMap may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details and the referring site. Your Kéktúrám trail records and photos are not sent with those requests.

Retention

Your account information and content are kept while your account is active or until you request deletion. Session cookies expire after 30 days and may be renewed while you continue using the service. Information may be retained longer where required by law.

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access to, correction of, a copy of, restriction of or deletion of your personal information, or object to its processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

Requesting account deletion

Email balint@balinterdi.com, preferably from the email address connected to your Kéktúrám account. Additional information may be requested to verify your identity.

Eligible requests are handled without undue delay, normally within one month. Once a request is verified, the account profile, sessions, Google account link, trail records, notes, captions and uploaded photos will be deleted unless the information must be kept to meet a legal obligation.
